The San Francisco PC Users Group, founded in 1982, serves as a regional volunteer forum for the exchange of ideas, industry insights, and software and hardware related to using personal computers having the Intel x86 compatible and/or successor processors. The primary focus is Microsoft Windows-based computing, with occasional programs on LINUX or other operating systems. In recent years other digital electronic devices have been included -- such as multimedia, cell phones, HD TV, and digital music and video players. There is also a focus on networking of homes and small business, the Internet, and gaming.

Annual membership in The San Francisco PC Users Group includes, among other benefits, monthly general meetings,  invitations to occasional special events, eligibility for raffle and door prizes, and the opportunity to review books, devices, and software, which are occasionally offered by  publishers and vendors.

Annual Memberships: $30 for individuals, $35 for families, and $50 for businesses.  The annual fee includes a one-year E-Subscription to Smart Computing Magazine, (+$10 for optional snailmail hard copy).
